About the event

We're releasing the album! Finally, after all the blood, sweat, and tears (and some REALLY hard work from Richard Charlton, our amazing producer and sound engineer/best lead guitarist ever), "I Grew up Here" has finally come to fruition.

Please join us (fawns), The New Weather Machine, and Bailey Kate at Owl Acoustic Lounge as we celebrate with awesome tunes, yummy food, and of course all of you!

As a band we believe in promoting mental health initiatives in our community, and so fawns will donate ten percent of its album sales, both on and offline, to CMHA Lethbridge.

Admission by donation.

FAWNS:

This jangly southern Alberta rock band was formed by impassioned musician and lyricist, Mercedes Fawns, in 2017. fawns seeks to bring a nostalgic brand of alternative rock to stage with each of its members bringing their own take on the tones and feelings centered on growing up in the 90s, while also focusing on themes of mental illness and addiction.

THE NEW WEATHER MACHINE:

"From the prairies of southern Alberta, Canada, The New Weather Machine is a four-piece indie/alternative band led by Jon Martin. They combine acoustic textures, electric guitars, analogue synthesizers, and big drums to evoke the spirit of mid-70s coastal rock and early 90s alternative, and mix it with all of the things that are wonderful about modern music." BAILEY KATE:

Bailey Kate is an indie singer-songwriter based in Lethbridge, AB. Her introspective songs explore the light and dark elements of human nature.
